AD CODE (Authorised Dealer Code)

First of all AD Code full form is Authorised Dealer Code, In export-import trade, C.H.A use word A D code letter. This code you will get it from the Bank where you have opened a current account for the export & import on Bank's letterhead. The bank will give you 14 Digit code on their letterhead.You have to register this code where you are going to custom clearance of your goods. Means, If you want to export from the ICD Khodiyar, Gujarat than you must have to register this code in ICD Khodiyar, Custom. Without code, the EDI system of ICEGATE will not allow generating shipping bill number which is you required for the export.

Now, the point is when & where you required AD CODE?

You have to register this code in each & every port from where you want do export shipment. You have to register only one time and it will work lifetime. If you changed bank account then you have to register again 

To generate shipping bill number, to get government benefits directly in your current account then you must have to register this code in customs 

Example: If you are sending goods from ICD Khodiyar, Ahmedabad & Nhava Sheva then you have to register for both ports.
